To also ensure that our graduates are also business
savvy, business specific subject such as Principles
of Public Relations, Principles of Marketing, Principle
of Management, Computer Accounting are integrated
into the course syllabus. This is to ensure that
graduates will be effective in not only the IT industry
but also the business and public service industry
as well.
All students will be required to complete the Student
Internship Programme which students will be immersed
in a real life working environment to prepare students
for the world of work.
Business
Administration Skills and Business English
Principles of Public Relations:
PR differs from advertising and propaganda. PR in
relation to marketing. PR as a management function.
PR for commercial and non-commercial organizations.
Developing areas of public relations, such as Financial
PR, Parliamentary PR and Crisis PR.
Principles of Accounting: This
course provides students with a broad understanding
of financial information, measuring and recording
business transactions, and making adjustments. The
accounting cycle, accounting for merchandising operations,
and accounting concepts and classified financial
statements are also addressed.
Principles Marketing: This course
provides students with an introduction to the field
of marketing. Emphasis is placed on providing an
overview of marketing strategy market segmentation,
consumer behavior and the concept of marketing mix
(product, price, place. and promotion).
Principles of Management: This
course will explain all thee Principles of Management,
the functions of Managements and the Goals and objectives
in organizations.
It will include all different types of Management control, Decision process, Co-ordination and Leadership Theories

Management Information Systems:
Needs and uses of organizational information for
improved managerial competency; critical assessment
of computer and information technologies for decision-making;
and the impacts of information systems on organizational
and human resources.
Business English: Business English
will be taught in very semester from year 1 to year
4. This subject is of the most important subjects
as it is commonly used internationally. The university
emphasis strongly on the study of this subject as
it is of great important for not only during the
student internship but also for the rest of the
student career.

Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint): The office application program
includes Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel and Microsoft Power Point.
Computer Maintenance & Repair I/II:
The objectives for this course focus on computer
hardware which provide the following skills:
• Installation, configuration, and upgrading computer devices (printers, monitors, drives etc.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer devices (printers, monitors, drives, etc).
• Safety and preventive maintenance computer devices.

Basic and Advance Networking:
This course is divided into three parts: Basic Network;
Network with Microsoft Windows 2000; and Network
and the Internet. The objective of this course is
to provide students with the following abilities:
Network components; Network configuration and installation;
Internet installation with Microsoft Windows (Web
server, DNS Server, SINS Server, Mail Server, RAS
Server, DHCP Server and the knowledge about TCP/IP
protocol.).

Computing Mathematics I/II: Mathematics
for computing is directed toward students in computer
studies. The objectives of this course are as follows:
I) To provide students with background in the qualitative
and quantitative techniques necessary to better
understand how mathematics is related with computing.
2) To provide students with related mathematics
through the application of computers. 3) Provide
the introduction concept of mathematics to the real
life problem solving.
Computer Programming I/II: This
course provides the beginning programmer with a
guide to design structure programs such as:
1) Programming concepts, enforcing good style and logical thinking
2) Use of Pseudo code and Flow chart as primary tools to design program
3) Provide the business algorithm for solving business problems (search, sort)
4) Learn other design tools such as Decision Table, and Nassi-Schneiderman.

Java Programming and Advance Java Programming:
This course will present object-oriented technology
in JAVA and skills for the development of computer
applications using java such as: Overview of JDK;
Development of Environment Features; Language and
Syntax; Web enhancement with JAVA; and Deployment
applications.
Visual Basic and Advance Visual Basic Programming:
This course provides skills for developing computer
applications using Visual Basic such as: Overview
of the Microsoft Visual Basic Platform; Development
Environment Features; Language and Syntax; Using
ADO to access data in any DBMS; and Deploying Applications.
Data Modeling & Relational Database
Design I/II: This course covers the conceptual
data modeling and physical data modeling as follows:
Making use of ER-Entity Relationship Modeling in
detail through many real life examples, practical
business problems and solutions. The second part
of the course is the design process and presentsthe
considerations for creating a normalized, stable,
maintainable and well-defined database. After completing
the course, students will be able to analyze the
requirements of a business, how to represent your
findings in entity relationship diagram and how
to define and refine the tables and various other
database objectives from that model.
System Analysis & Design I/II:
This course focuses on the techniques and tools
used by SA in the process of analyzing and designing
computer software including: System planning; Requirement,
data, process and object modeling; User interface,
input, output, and data design; Application Architecture;
and Tools for analysis (Garitt Chart, PERT/CPM).
Database System & MS Access I/II:
This course provides the knowledge and skills in
designing and developing relational database application
such as: Fundamental and principles of the relational
model; Designing Relational Database Systems, examines
the analysis and design process, what you should
do to get from the real world to a reliable database
system design; Creating query using SQ L2 and SQL
3.
Introduction to Oracle9i I/II:
This course presents the tools and features provided
by Oracle DBMS for developing large scale databases
which include: Overview of Oracle 9i environment;
Creating query using PL/SQL; Database Administration
in oracle; Oracle developer (program unit, build
form and build report).

Internet, HTML, CooI3D & Uploading:
This unit will teach students how to communicate
online, to design a web page. share resources and
up hosting into the internet.
Web Development with ASP I/II:
This course gives the student skills for developing
a dynamic web application such as: Creating a web
form with server controls; Separate page code from
content with code-behind pages, user controls, and
components; Display dynamic data from a data source
by using Microsoft ADO.NET and data binding; Use
a web service to enhance a web application; and
add configuration, authentication, and state management
to an ASP.NET.
Macromedia Flash MX: This course
will focus on the tools and techniques in Flash
MX for creating multimedia such as: Create, import
and edit graphic elements; Use frames to generate
simple animated sequences; Produce basic multimedia
(text, sound, graphics, video, and animation).
AutoCAD: After completing this
unit, students will be able to do Architecture Planning,
Machine and Electronic Planning, and Logo and Advertising.
Interactive Multimedia: This course
explores fundamental and intermediate techniques
of creating interactive multimedia applications.
Beginning with a study of traditional animation,
the course moves on to computer-based animation,
navigation concepts and interface design. Using
programming and other skills acquired in previous
years of studying, students focus on real-world
multimedia application development.
